Interoperability distributed learning - SCORM

Shareable Content (Courseware) Object Reference Model or SCORM
SCORM are a suite of technical standards that enable web-based learning systems to find, import, share, reuse and export content in a standardized manner. It is aimed at vendors who build Learning management Systems, so that their tools conform to these standards.

LMS implementation: The Learning Management System or Learning content management system is a suite of services like content creation services, content management services, testing assessment services, tracking services and so on. On a normal hyperlinked web page, the user can decide to click on a hyperlink within a page and move to another section on a website. Usually these paths don't need to be tracked, unless in the case of web site performance and effectiveness measurements.

But, in a Learning Management System, complex learning behaviors are studied and analyzed before structuring and designing a learning course or module. Using the Internet implies leveraging the interactive features that the Net allows for. Hence, in this case the hyperlinks play a very important role here. The hyperlinks on the pages are placed in such a manner that the user or student is expected to click on them in order to enhance the learning experience. This can help the Instructional designer in launching and tracking learning experiences, and set the pace for the behavior of the learner. This helps in reusing and recontextualizing content. This is where SCORM comes into use. SCORM compliance ensures that all LMS' are made compatible with online training.

Learning objectives
SCORM helps define learning behavior. It emphasizes on a standard for the objective of the content, the vision and future of the learning program, a https://hublot-replica.krusco.com content aggregation model that can help put the content together so that it can be reused and moved
Content aggregation
It also tracks the learner's progress and reports. It sets in a standard to describe content in a content aggregation model in such a way that tells a user about the history of that content, the owner of that content and how that content fits into the educational purpose and so on
Content Packaging
This gives details about the organization, structure and design of the learning experience intended by the author
Tracking User performance
The Run time environment is another part of SCORM that offers a standardized manner for exchange of information between the learner and the LMS used. This is regardless of what tools are used to develop content. SCORM also tracks learner performance
